Former Deputy General Counsel for Governors Ron DeSantis and Rick Scott

Nick Primrose is a lifelong conservative who has committed his professional life to public service, and is now committed to serving Northern St. Johns County as the State Representative in District 18.

Nick’s platform is based on the principles and goals of:

  • Stopping the Harm of Illegal Immigration
  • Backing our Law Enforcement and First Responders
  • Improving Infrastructure and Roads

State House District 18

State House District 18 covers from the Atlantic Ocean to the St. Johns River, representing Northern St. Johns County, Ponte Vedra Beach, Vilano, Nocatee, Beachwalk, Fruit Cove, Julington Creek, Rivertown, and World Golf Village. 

As a former Deputy General Counsel to Florida Governors Ron DeSantis and Rick Scott, Nick provided legal advice and counsel regarding economic prosperity, transportation, election security, and judicial appointments. While serving Governor DeSantis, Nick simultaneously served as the General Counsel for the Division of Emergency Management, providing legal advice during hurricane and natural disaster response, as well as navigating executive actions related to COVID-19. In August 2021, Nick was appointed as the Chair of the Florida Elections Commission by Governor DeSantis, charged with investigating violations of the election code and campaign finance laws.

Nick was born at Bayne Jones Army Community Hospital in Louisiana, where his parents were stationed at Fort Polk. He was raised by a single mother in Mayfield Heights, Ohio. He attended Lake Forest College, where he was a multiple conference champion on their Division III swim team. Nick also received a Master of Public Administration at DePaul University. In 2010, Nick moved to Orlando to attend law school at Barry University.

Nick and his wife met in Tallahassee before moving to St. Johns County, where they live with their son Vinny, born this January, and their Golden Retriever, Hudson.

Nick is a  Life Member of the NRA, a member of the American Enterprise Institute Leadership Network, the Federalist Society, Leadership Florida Connect Class 11, and was honored as the Florida Federation of Young Republicans Man of the Year in 2016 and as a 2022 Future40 honoree by Maverick PAC, which recognizes conservative young professionals across the country that embody the next generation of leadership.
